The New England Aquarium is located in Boston, Massachusetts. The location offers educational programs. There are also interesting animals and exhibits. There are several educational programs offered for students of all ages. Types of programs include Family Programs and Meet the Animals. The Meet the Animals programs allow the students to get up close to the animals and go behind-the-scenes and examine the aquarium exhibits. Animal encounter programs include the following: Take a Peek Behind the Tank, Meet Myrtle, and Take a Dip with the Harbor Seals. During the Meet Myrtle program, the student group will look at the huge tank that houses Myrtle the sea turtle. There are fascinating exhibits for your student group to explore. Animals include: the African Penguin, the Atlantic Harbor Seal, the Giant Pacific Octopus, a Green Sea Turtle, and the Northern Fur Seal. Exhibits include: the Amazon Rainforest, Atlantic Harbor Seals, the Blue Planet Center, the Coral Reef Center, the Giant Ocean Tank, and Gulf of Maine. The Atlantic Seals exhibit features the fascinating Atlantic Harbor Seals. They play in the cool water and then come out to the rocky outcrops for a snooze or a sunbath.
