“..iFly Hollywood..” by Loren Javier

IFLY Orlando is the closest thing to skydiving you will ever do without actually having to jump out of an airplane. It is so realistic that professional skydivers use the tunnel to practice and master their moves, yet the activity is safe enough for people of all ages from three and older that are in good health and physical condition not having any prior shoulder, back or neck problems. You must weigh under 230 pounds unless you are over 6ft tall then you need to weigh less than 250 pounds. You do not need prior flying experience for this amazing adrenaline filled adventure. Just prepare yourself for one of the most exciting experiences available, where all you need to do is relax and enjoy! Just remember, this is not a ride or simulator as you actually get to fly!

IFLY is a vertical wind tunnel created by Sky Venture, the tunnel moves air up in a vertical column, creating this unique indoor skydiving experience where you will soar on a column of air inside the vertical wind tunnel. IFLY uses state of the art technology and is unique because of the multiple fans located at the top of the flight chamber that produces smooth wall to wall airflow making for a fun and safe way to fly. The airflow is totally controllable making for an exciting flight experience with the help of professional instructors. The first wind tunnels designed were built with military flyers and skydivers in mind, and is part of the heritage behind the IFLY tunnels, providing a high speed environment using approved mission essential equipment. Every world champion free fall skydiving team has trained in one of the seven wind tunnels since 1993. Other than Orlando, there are six other locations around the globe, including Singapore.

Before your flight experience begins, you will receive fundamental skills for body flight with a classroom training going over the basics of learning how to fly and keeping your body in control which includes a video and hand signals to be used with your flight instructor for communication purposes. You are provided with flight gear that includes knee and elbow pads, ear plugs, goggles, a flight suit and helmet for your safety.
