Your student group will love taking a school trip to the beautiful area of Virginia Beach! There are plenty of entertainment, shopping, and dining attractions for your students to experience. There are also fascinating museums and famous historical landmarks to explore during your visit. Students of all ages are sure to have a fantastic trip. Virginia Beach has a variety of entertainment hotspots that draw a crowd from miles away! For example, the students can ride some exhilarating water rides at the Ocean Breeze Waterpark. You can visit the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center where they will have the opportunity to study a variety of live animals through hands-on exhibits and educational programs. First Landing State Park is a great place with a beautiful landscape and is where visitors can hike, or ride a bike on one of the many trails. The city hosts several festivals during the year. For example, in July, there is the Chalk the Walk Artsplosion and also the 17th Street Park Festival. Virginia contains several museums. One of these is called the Virginia Living Museum, which is where you will learn about the history of Virginia and observe fascinating animals through hands-on activities and educational opportunities. Another museum is the Virginia Air and Space Museum. There are also interesting historical places to visit and learn about people and events in history. You can visit the Adam Thoroughgood House, the Lynnhaven House, and Legends Walk. The students may also enjoy exploring the USS Wisconsin Battleship at the Nauticus Museum where you will see areas of the ship and other exhibits.
