Battleship Cove is located near Boston, Massachusetts. It is the world’s largest exhibit of historic naval ships. There are various exhibits to observe. The museum also offers educational programs for student groups of all ages. The programs at the museum are immersive and interesting. The student group can climb aboard ships and explore five national historic landmarks. These include: The Battleship Massachusetts, the Destroyer Joseph P. Kennedy, Submarine Lionfish, and 796. The group will experience the sights and sounds and travel through time beginning in World War II. Student groups will observe interesting exhibits during the visit to Battleship Cove. They include the following: PT BOATS, HIDDEN SEA, THE PEARL HARBOR EXPERIENCE, WOMEN PROTECTING THE US, the D-DAY ROOM, the CREW MEMBERS EXHIBIT, and the YAGR EXHIBIT. The Women’s EXHIBIT contains displays that center around the role of women in World War II. Themes include: women’s military reserve units, nursing, and clandestine operations. The PEARL HARBOR EXPERIENCE exhibit is new at the museum. Features include: state-of-the-art special effects, archive film, and surround-sound.
