Aquarium of the Pacific

As you plan your for your school trip to Los Angeles, you should stop by and explore the Aquarium of the Pacific. The students will have the opportunity to explore several fascinating exhibits during the visit. They also offer behind-the-scenes tours and other educational programs. There are over 11,000 amazing animals at the Aquarium of the Pacific.

 

The Behind the Scenes Tour is both entertaining and educational. During the experience, the students will have the opportunity to see daily operations performed at the Aquarium. Your group will enter the wet portion of the facility which is off-limits to the public and see what is involved in running a world-class aquarium. Students will also learn interesting facts about the animals as part of the experience. The group can also take an educational adventure where you will learn about marine topics in a private classroom. These programs also include a guided tour.

 

The Aquarium of the Pacific has a variety of exhibits to observe. One of the exhibits is known as the Northern Pacific Gallery which contains 16 exhibits pertaining to the Northern Pacific Ocean. You will find displays such as the Sea Otter Exhibit, a giant Pacific octopus, several species of sea jellies, and the Diving Birds Exhibit. There are also outdoor exhibits such as Shark Lagoon, the Lorikeet Forest and Aviary, and Watersheds: Pathway to the Pacific. The Lorikeet Forest has more than 100 lively Lorikeets who live on the coastal lowlands of Australia. Students can purchase a cup of nectar and feed the birds as you walk through the exhibit.
