“Titanic-The Experience” by Smart Destinations
There are many different attractions that tell you about the Titanic and what happened that night. But none do quite the justice that Titanic The Experience does. When you first enter this building you will see a digital picture of the magnificent ship that stretches from floor to ceiling. Your group may choose to take a self-guided tour or be guided around by one of the many workers there. We recommend waiting for a worker. With a guide, you will step back in time and be treated as if you were one of the first class passengers on the ship. The guides act as if they are staff as they show you around the ship.
You will see many life-size replicas of things that were on the ship, such as one of the propellers and what was most likely sitting on the decks. Other exhibits will show you what a first class passenger’s room would have looked like as well as the engine room and control center. One of the favorite exhibits here would be the display of the grand stair case that took them down to the dinner hall. Original artifacts are on display here as well such as deck chairs, brochures, and things left behind by some of the passenger. This is a great place for any group wanting to know exactly what happened that night 100 years ago. You will get a chance to feel how cold the water was that the passengers landed in and by the end of the tour you will see exactly who in your group was lucky enough to survive and who weren’t so lucky.
