During your school trip to Virginia Beach you may want to enjoy the beautiful landscape of False Cape State Park. The park is located near the Back Bay Wildlife Refuge. There are a variety of outdoor activities for students of all ages to enjoy. False Cape State Park is a great place to experience nature by participating in a few fun activities. FOR example, you can hike, bike, or ride in a boat. The park was a former home of Native Americans. False Cape honors those individuals who have made a living from the sea. The group can also take part in a guided kayak experience, or enjoy an interpretive program. The park also features six miles of pristine ocean beach. Your group will experience nature in a unique and primitive way. There are several entertaining educational activities available for students to explore. You can enjoy a bus tour, learn about astronomy, or observe birds while hiking on one of the trails. Student group may want to take part in a special program in conjunction with the Virginia Marine Science Museum, the Virginia Marine Institute and Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. The student group will enjoy exploring the hiking trails at False Cape State Park. One of these fascinating trails is called the Barbour Hill Trail which is easy to navigate. The walk is 1.4 miles long. The surface of the trail consists of gravel and sand. Another place for hiking is known as the Maple Leaf Trail where you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the shore and surrounding scenery.
